Progress 2

Hi Wan, my group and I are doing fine. Our guide through this project is our project we did before this one. We have all of our tables completed,we generalized and checked our answers with the calculators. The Graphs are almost done. On our graph it shows a thrid degree polynomial because we have three turns.

We are using FedEx express(130) and FedEx Ground(84). The designs we used are width=2x, width=3x, width=x+5,width=x+10, we used this for both shipping methods. We generalize by using X, the formula of Girth, formula of volume. For example, for FedEx Ground when X is equal to X height is also equal to X. The width will be X+5,length it will be 84-2(X+5+X).My formula for Girth will be 2(x+5+x). My formula for volume will be (84-(4X+10))*(x+5)*(x) because volume equals length*width*height.

We also checked eachother work to make sure everybody was on the same page. At this point the graphs are being processed. We scaled the graph by using the x and y axes. The X axes went up by one's and the Y axes went up by five thousand because we all had different volumes and different x's. So my grounp and I made a compromise. But for every design the tables were different all of our numbers were'nt constant. My maximum volume for X with FedEx Express is 19.3 my minium is 0 and the maximum is 20072.0. FedEx Ground my maximum for X is 11.6 and maximum for Y is 5314.8.Amanda's FedEx Express X maximum is 17.04469 and the Y is 19278.268. Her maximum for FedEx Ground X is 9.57 and her minium is 0. Her maximum for Y is 4816.9679My box for FedEx Express has more volume than amanda which makes her box flater, because her design was flatter than my design, my box had a bigger volume. My box for FedEx Ground is still bigger than amanda's which makes her box flater.

homework 3/2/10

Well my group and I are'nt doing well right now. We are a little behind with our tables. The reason we are so behind is because some of us doesn't really understand how to start the tables. Amanda and I are almost done with our tables. Its kind of diffcult to finish because I did'nt keep my X value constant I counted by 2's. Some of my numbers for volume came up wrong that's when I had to redo my table. Grace was way behind because she did'nt understand how to choose her X value. Angela was also unsure how to choose her X value. Amanda did'nt really need as much help with her tables because we did this before in a difeeerent project. But don't worry we will make a come back with no problems :) I love my group.

Team George Clooney

When the United Nations World Food Programme (WFP) warned that their air transportations to help war-torn Darfur, Sudan, would soon stop due to lack of funds, George Clooney stepped up with his charity group Not On Our Watch by contributing $6.24 million to keep their air transport operations going.George Clooney's Hope For Haiti telethon delivered all the best of the world's A-List talent in the fields of TV, movies and music - and then some. - begging for help for the impoverished Caribbean nation that was all but destroyed when a powerful 7.0 magnitude earthquake hit on Tuesday January 12th.George Clooney and Leonardo DiCaprio are opening up their wallets to help victims in the earthquake-ravaged Haiti.
Clooney is donating $1 million to Friday's "Hope for Haiti Now" celebrity telethon. He officially made his donation during the telecast.George Clooney met with President Obama and Vice President Biden separately at the White House and they told him they would appoint a full-time, high-level envoy on Darfur that would report directly to the White House.George has stood in line with pals Matt Damon and Brad Pitt for a chance to make a difference with the ONE campaign, fighting AIDS and extreme poverty on a global scale. He has also supported Rock for Darfur, a series of concerts put on by MySpace in which money raised went to Oxfam’s Sudan Crisis Relief and Rehabilitation Fund. He’s also a strong supporter of Save Darfur, and pleaded with the U.N. Security Council to step in and find a solution for the situation in Sudan’s Darfur region, calling it the first holocaust of the 21st century.
"We were brought up to believe that the U.N. was formed to ensure that the Holocaust couldnever happen again."
